Unto the Barony of Darkwater do their Excellencies, James and Milesenda, send greeting!
At the time of this letter we are just beginning the Lady of the Lakes demo and we would like to praise all the hard work being put in by the demo and event staff as well as those who are planning to attend. Kids Day at the demo, especially the day after Halloween, is likely to be an endurance trial and we’re looking forwards to seeing everyone there this weekend. We will, however, be missing the Saturday of next weekend in order to attend Crown Lyst and see which of the many worthies entered into the tourney become our next heirs. This tourney is of particular importance to us because those heirs will be Crown when our baronial polling takes place.
We would like to apologize for our recent absences at meetings – our mundane work schedule has changed for this school year and it’s playing merry hob with our ability to do things in the evening; additionally, my second job schedule is making that worse. The good news, however, is that it does have an end date; after the middle of December, I will have a different second job schedule which will make attending evening meetings much easier. We greatly appreciate everyone’s understanding on this given how often we meet. We will, absolutely, be present for the officers meetings in November and December.
Last but not least, we have Trident Tourney coming up; if you have some time available please reach out to the event steward or the various positions. There is always more help needed.
